Open the foundations before the stock runs out of passes.

A Queen may start the second foundation only after the King foundation is in place. The later foundations depend on that chain of starts, while every started foundation can build immediately.

Start the eight foundations

The first King is dealt to foundation one. The next seven foundations require Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, and 6 respectively. Each can start only when the foundation immediately to its left has begun. A Jack that reaches the waste before a Queen starts the second foundation cannot yet begin the third.

Watch for the next required base card while drawing. Once it becomes available, place it promptly to give later foundations a chance to open. You may still build on earlier foundations, so consider whether a card has a useful role in more than one lane.

Build down and around the corner

Suit has no effect on foundation building. A King foundation accepts a Queen of any suit, then a Jack, and so on. An Ace accepts a King, which is the round-the-corner step. Each foundation takes exactly thirteen cards, ending one rank above its base.

Because there are two decks, the same rank may have several legal destinations. If a waste card can build on two foundations, compare the next ranks each would need. Keeping more than one path open can help later waste cards leave the pile before they are covered.

Budget the stock passes

Turning a stock card puts it on the waste. Only the top waste card is playable; drawing another card covers it. You may turn the waste over twice after the stock runs out, creating at most three passes. Cards left in the waste after the third pass can block a win.

Before drawing again, check the exposed waste card against every started foundation and the next foundation waiting to start. A card you cannot use now may return on a later pass, but each recycle reduces that opportunity.

Plan for the final pass

By the final stock pass, try to have all eight foundations started. That makes more waste cards playable as they appear. If a required base rank is still absent, the later foundation slots remain locked even when their base cards are drawn.

Use Undo to compare a foundation choice when several lanes accept the same card. The seed shown above the board lets you replay the exact deal and test a different sequence of choices.
