How The Fan plays
One deck fills seventeen three-card fans and one one-card fan. Only top cards move. Foundations build upward in suit from Ace; fan cards build down in the same suit. A King may enter an empty fan, but other ranks cannot. There are no redeals.
Choose a King destination
A King in an empty fan creates a new place for its suit's Queen. Compare that route with the card the King exposes in its old fan. The gap becomes occupied, so choose a move with a clear follow-up.
