The deal

Place a 32-card pack into four suit rows.

Playing the cards

Four rows have spaces for Eight through Ace, with four more cards in reserve. Move each exposed card to its suit-and-rank position, carrying the displaced downcard onward. Sevens leave for their suit foundations. If the last Seven appears before the grid is complete, reveal a face-down cell; a misplaced card spoils the game.

Spoilt is part of The Clockworks · Rank shuttles and is a variant of Travellers. Four suit rows replace rank piles, and Sevens leave the tableau.
