Color, rather than suit
A diamond may follow a heart, and a club may follow a spade, provided the new card is one rank higher. Each foundation begins with an Ace, so there are two red and two black lanes to build.
Puss in the Corner is related to Sir Tommy, but its foundation colors and chosen redeal order change the planning.
The four corner piles
Each dealt card you cannot immediately build goes to one corner pile. Cards under its top card are unavailable until the cards above them leave for foundations. Keep low cards accessible.
At redeal, choose the pile order based on the cards you need first. Cards inside each pile keep their original order.
Puss in the Corner is part of The Greenway · Waste-pile builders and is a variant of Sir Tommy. Aces start the foundations, building is color-locked, and the corner piles get one ordered redeal.
