Classic variant

Royal Parade Solitaire

Royal Parade shares the same tableau and reserve layout as Virginia Reel, but empty row spaces do not need to be filled immediately.

Seed: 235795Moves: 0Timer: 00:00Stock: 72Discarded Aces: 0

Move cards onto matching-suit +3 foundations. In Virginia Reel, fill empty row spaces immediately with 2s, 3s, or 4s.

Row 211111111
Row 311111111
Reserve11111111

How to play

  • Three rows are seeded to build 2-5-8-J, 3-6-9-Q, and 4-7-10-K by suit.
  • Move exposed cards from tableau and reserve onto legal row foundations.
  • Exposed aces are discarded and never built.
  • Unlike Virginia Reel, row gaps can remain open for later base-card placement.
  • Deal the reserve only when no direct build or discard move remains.

Variant identity

Royal Parade is the looser ancestor of Virginia Reel. Temporary gaps are a tactical resource, which makes sequencing and timing your base-rank placements more flexible.

Strategy tips

  • Royal Parade allows delaying row-gap fills, so sequence your foundation plays before committing base cards.
  • Use temporary gaps to surface key cards from reserve columns.
  • Reserve deals are costly; extract every legal build first.
