How to Play

Two standard decks (104 cards) are used. Build all eight foundations from Ace to King to win.
Nine tableau columns are dealt at the start: column 1 gets 1 card, column 2 gets 2, and so on up to column 9 (45 cards total). The rest go to the stock.
Only the top card of each column is face-up at the start; more are revealed as you play.
Tableau sequences build down in alternating colours (red on black, black on red). Only Kings (or sequences topped by a King) may be moved to empty columns.
Click the stock to deal one card to the waste pile. The stock can be recycled back from waste exactly once (two passes total).
Eight foundations each build upward from Ace to King, one per suit per deck copy.
Double-click a card to auto-move it to the foundation if a legal target exists.
Use Undo to reverse the last move, or Restart to replay the same deal.

Why play Gargantua?

Gargantua stretches the familiar Klondike formula across two decks and nine columns, demanding much sharper planning. With only two passes through the stock allowed, every decision about which cards to uncover has lasting consequences.

Rules overview

Build eight foundations (two per suit) from Ace to King using alternating-colour tableau sequences. The nine-column layout provides more manoeuvring room than standard Klondike, but the wider field means buried cards are harder to reach. Managing both stock passes efficiently is the key skill.
