Golf with a corner turn

Putt Putt keeps Golf's one-deck, seven-column layout and one-card stock draw. Its defining variation lets a run turn from King to Ace, or from Ace to King. The card played must still be directly next to the waste top in rank; suit never matters. The separate Queen-on-King variation is not used here.

A card removed from a column exposes the card beneath it. You can draw a new stock card whenever you want to change the waste top, but the stock has only sixteen cards and cannot be recycled.

The Golf variations rules describe Putt Putt's Ace–King turn.

How it differs

Strict Golf stops a run at King and does not permit the Ace–King turn. Putt Putt makes those high cards useful links in a longer chain. Pyramid Golf uses the same wrapping rank rule in an overlapping pyramid instead of seven columns.

See the Putt Putt section in the Golf family guide for stock timing and chain planning.

Putt Putt is part of The Fairway · Golf & adjacency and is a variant of Golf. Ace and King may be played on each other, while Kings still block Queens.
