One action at a time

Use the highlighted pile or the Search button to resolve one pile. Gather and Deal becomes available when the round is complete. The controls follow the required order for you.

Tab to a button and press Enter or Space to play by keyboard. Hint explains the next step, and Undo takes back either a search or a redeal.

A game of chance

The shuffled order determines the outcome. There are no choices about which card to retain or which suit to pursue. Restart replays the same seed and produces the same result when you complete it.

Why can the final pile lose?

The last search still stops at the first target card. It cannot remove an unwanted card buried beneath that point. The board reveals the entire final pile so you can see what survived.
