Queen's Audience Strategy

Follow the pairs and the cards they reveal.

The antechamber provides sixteen available cards. Each pair or foundation play opens a space and brings a new card into play, often making another move possible.

Look for two kinds of suited pairs

A Queen needs the King of the same suit; a Jack needs its Ace. Both cards must be available together in the reserve or at the top of waste. A matching card buried in waste cannot be selected.

Select either member of the pair to highlight the other. This starts the correct chamber pile automatically, so you do not need to choose a throne or empty foundation.

A Jack opens a descending route

After pairing the Jack and Ace of Hearts, look for the Ten of Hearts, then the Nine. Continue in suit down to Two. The Ace is already beneath the Jack; it is not played again at the end.

Each suit has its own next rank. A visible Nine cannot move until its Ten has arrived, even if another foundation is ready for a Nine.

Follow the waste as reserve spaces refill

If a pair leaves two reserve spaces and the waste has several cards, its top two cards refill those spaces. This exposes a new waste top while keeping the replacement cards available in the reserve.

When a waste card itself belongs to the pair, it is removed before refilling. The next waste card is then used. Only after waste is empty does a replacement come from stock.

Finish the current plays before drawing

The Draw Card control becomes available when no pair or foundation move remains. A draw exposes one card on waste; check the new legal moves before continuing. There is no second stock pass.

The final draw does not itself end the game. Pairs, refills, and foundation plays can continue until all cards reach the chamber or the remaining cards are blocked.

Use Undo to understand a refill chain

One Undo reverses the entire action, including both cards of a pair and all replacement cards. It is useful when a move changes several visible positions at once.

Hints identify a legal action rather than searching for a guaranteed win. The shuffled stock and the availability of matching cards strongly shape the result. Restart replays the same seed so you can follow the sequence again.
