The deal

A Tournament relative with eight tableau piles and no redeals.

Playing the cards

Eight reserve cards and eight tableau piles begin the deal. Build one Ace and one King foundation of each suit, upward or downward respectively. Tableau cards can build up or down in suit between eight-card row deals.

First plan

Use same-suit tableau builds to free the rank needed for either direction of a foundation.

An emptied tableau pile immediately takes up to four cards from stock. Deal another eight-card row only after checking useful moves; there is no redeal.
