Meet in the middle.

Each suit has an Ace foundation building upward and a King foundation building downward. Either side can take a middle card when its sequence reaches it.

Start both ends

The Aces are already in place, so exposed 2s can move to their suit foundations at once. An exposed King can start its downward foundation. Opening both ends gives a suit two routes out of the tableau.

Track which rank each end needs next. A middle card can be sent to either foundation only when its neighboring rank has already arrived there.

Build tableau cards both ways

A top card may move onto another top card of the same suit one rank higher or lower. This lets you clear a blocking card from either side of a rank chain. The direction can change from move to move.

Since only top cards transfer, a tidy looking sequence is still moved one card at a time. Check which new card becomes exposed after each transfer.

Choose which end to open

Constructed choice

With an Eight of Hearts exposed, a Seven of Hearts and a Nine of Hearts on other columns can each move onto it. Both are legal, but they uncover different cards. If the Seven covers a King that can start the downward heart foundation, moving the Seven may create a second path out of that suit; if the Nine covers a needed Two, moving the Nine may help the upward foundation instead.

Compare the exposed card after each move. Bisley has no cells and empty columns cannot be refilled, so an attractive adjacent-rank placement can permanently remove a useful column top. The family guide explains the broader access question.

Protect access to the middle

All cards are visible in the thirteen columns. Scan each suit for a middle rank buried below cards of another suit. Those blockers need their own destinations before the two foundations can meet.

Empty columns cannot be refilled, so clearing one helps only by moving its cards to a foundation or another active column.

Choose a foundation deliberately

When both ends of a suit can accept cards, consider which move exposes another playable card. A foundation card cannot return to the tableau. Use Undo if you want to compare the order of two promising transfers.
